	June 2008: Mike Wells on "Future of Music" Panel

	New Orleans LA, June 2008 This year's Pot Luck Con audio conference (formerly Tape Op Con) in New Orleans, LA will feature Mike Wells as a guest panelist on the "Future Of Music" panel joining George Massenburg, Larry Crane, and others to discuss projections and ideas for Music distribution, technology, formats and more. 	March 2008: Mike Wells guest speaker at Sacramento AES chapter

	Sacramento CA, March 2008 Mike Wells gives a guest presentation on the subject of audio mastering for CD and digital formats at the Sacramento City College audio program. Attending are students of the Sacramento City College audio program along with local AES chapter memebers. Special thanks to Eric Chen & Andrew Fujikawa for making this event possible. 	Feb 2008: Visual articles now online

	San Francisco, February 2008 The New Year celebration continues at Mike Wells Mastering, this Feb 2008 seeing new releases from Restiform Bodies of Anticon Records, the new Subtle CD on Lex/EMI records, Laidback Entertainments' Charlie Manhattan and Bailey releases, international act Kultur Shock (mixed by Jack Endino), along with many local atists. 	December 2007: Happy Holidays & Performer Article

	San Francisco, December 2007 It's been a very busy winter season at Mike Wells Mastering, seeing releases from WHY? and Son Lux of Anticon Records, international act Kultur Shock (mixed by Jack Endino), and local favorites The Downfalls, PinPoint Mercy, Curt Yagi, Chi McClean, and many more. Additionally, Performer Magazine hosted an article on Digital Asset/Post-Mastering solutions by Mike Wells in their October print issue. 	July 2007: Mike Wells sponsors 2007 10th Annual "Tidal Wave" festival

	San Francisco, July 2007 Continuing in the tradition of supporting community and local music, Mike Wells Mastering once again sponsors this year's Tidal Wave music festival in San Francisco. A music festival that showcases the heavier side of music, the Tidal Wave celebrates its 10th anniversary this year for its annual 2-day free music festival in McClaren Park in San Francisco. 	June 2007: Mike Wells Moderates "Internet & Recording" panel at Tape Op Con

	Tuscon, AZ., June 2007 A late-breaking addition, Mike was asked to lead & moderate the "Internet & Recording" panel at the 2007 Tape Op convention in Tuscon, AZ. Also appearing on the panel are Dave Allen (Gang of Four), Alex Maiolo (The Future Music Coalition), and Ben London (NARAS). The panel will focus on recording/mixing/mastering strategies using the internet, encoding & digital distribution, metadata, rights management, and future direction discussion of how the internet continues to change the recording & music industry.
	May 2007: Mike Wells Mastering sponsors Blue Bear music school benefit.

	San Francisco, CA., May 2007 The 2nd annual Blue Bear music school "Music for Youth" benefit is held Saturday, May 12th at Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. The benefit is a fundraiser for the school, and Mike Wells Mastering will be sponsoring the event by providing a mastering session as a silent auction item. If you are in the bay area, show your support for music education and come on down to the benefit, which will feature a night of music headlined by Booker T. Jones himself.
	April 2007: Mike Wells gives mastering seminar to Producer Forum

	San Francisco, CA., April 2007 The Producer's Forum, led by Wylie Way, is a Bay Area collective of audio engineers and audio enthusiasts, which meets once a month at rotating locations throughout the bay covering mutliple topics regarding the audio engineering community. This month Mike Wells Mastering had the pleasure to host the forum at the studio for a 3 hour panel on mastering. Topics included mixing strategies, mastering formats, handling cd loadback, replication, and encoding strategies. The panel was a huge success and fun for all in attendance.
	March 2007: Mike Wells teaches mastering class at American River College

	Sacramento, CA., March 2007 The Sacramento AES chapter at American River College were treated to a special 1/2 day mastering course onsite at their college in Sacramento, CA. by Mike Wells. On attendeance was a packed room of energetic young audio engineers full of questions and the thirst to learn. It was a unique and pleasant opportunity to support community and offer experience and knowledge to an eager crowd.
	Feb 2007: Mike Wells Mastering sponsors 15th annual Noise Pop music festival

	San Francisco, CA., February 2007 By now a Bay Area tradition, Mike Wells Mastering is proud to be one of the sponsors for this years' Noise Pop music festival. Check the online schedule, and be sure to see a few of these shows featuring up-and-coming bay area talent. Additionally, Noise Pop continues it's "Indie Night School" seminar series, which aims to help educate bands and artists in the skills of navigating the music industry.
	January 2007: Happy New Year!

	San Francisco, CA., January 2007 2007 is off to a great start with The Mother Hips mastering their new record due-out on ATO Records. Mod Lang recording artist Willow Willow completed mastering of their latest release, along with many talented Bay Area artists such as The Bruises. New events and announcements are right around the corner and will be announced here in the next few weeks, stay tuned!
	October 2006: 121st AES Convention in San Francisco

	San Francisco, CA., October 2006 Mike Wells Mastering was proud to host Dangerous Music during the 121st AES Convention in the San Francisco Bay Area this October 5th - 8th. Thank you to all who made it out to the party showcasing gear from Dangerous Music, Mercury Recording Equipment, Soundelux Microphones, and presentations from Barry Rudolf, Matt Kelley, Joe Chiccarelli, Lynn Fuston, and Mike Wells. Both Friday and Saturday night parties were a real hit, with a very special thanks to Michael Ward & Jeff Cleland of Hyde Street Studios for overseeing the hosting of the collective party. 	San Francisco, CA., August 2006 The Tower Podcast network hosts "The Belly of the Bay", a show hosted by Misha to showcase Bay Area music talent and current music & studio events, features an interview with Mike Wells discussing the current studio scene in the Bay Area, mastering advice for local bands, and a showcase on the creation of the Los Kamikaze Records "Bay Collective" compilation. 	San Francisco, CA., Jan 2005 - New Year updates to website and services With the new year, Mike Wells Mastering launches a new website, along with new sevices such as E-CD Mastering, Codec Mastering, and Archival Mastering. 	2004 AES 117 Updates

	San Francisco, CA., Oct 29, 2004 - Mike Wells Mastering showcased by ATR Services I had the honor of working directly with the ATR Services team for the San Francisco AES conference this year, and had my very own Aria ATR-102 featured on the show floor. 	Mike Wells Mastering now offering ISRC generation

	San Francisco, CA., July 13, 2004-Mike Wells Mastering becomes licensed ISRC Agent. Online services such as Apple's I-Tunes are now requiring submitted digital files to contain ISRC codes. Mike Wells Mastering has become a licensed agent by the RIAA, and now offers ISRC generation into delivered masters at no additional charge.

	San Francisco, CA., July 20, 2004-Mike Wells Mastering features first West-Coast Aria-equipped ATR-102. Mike Wells Mastering (San Francisco, Calif.) has taken delivery of an ATR-102 recorder equipped with the optional David Hill�designed Aria Reference Series electronics. 	Mike Wells Mastering Announces New Facility & Analog Upgrades

	San Francisco, CA., May 17, 2004-Mike Wells Mastering has relocated to downtown San Francisco. In addition to the facility upgrade, Mike Wells Mastering has also added a set of Class-A analog tools. Equipment additions include the legendary ATR Service Ampex ATR-102 "One-Two" with custom Aria electronics, and world-class analog mastering components such as the GML 9500 and Manley Vari-Mu.
	5-25 Audio changes name to Mike Wells Mastering

	San Francisco, CA., April 12, 2004 5-25 Audio changes name. After 3 years as 5-25 Audio, Mike Wells has decided to change the name of the business to Mike Wells Mastering. Other major changes to the business, in the form of upgrades and facility, will be taking place also this year.
