A professional mastering process leads you through several steps: creative, clinical, measurement, and delivery. Creative: Creatively, mastering is the final opportunity to enhance the quality of your music through equalization, compression, harmonic enhancement, stereo imaging, and layback processing, resulting in added punch, definition, and loudness. Clinical: Clinically, mastering is an opportunity to make any necessary adjustments to your music such as equalization adjustments, removing digital "tics", or noise reduction. Measurement: Measurements are performed on your finished masters to ensure error-free replication at the plant.
